WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF CAROLYN SILLS

FOUR SONG EP AVAILABLE ON ITUNES!

Thanks for visiting my website.  I am a singer, songwriter, bassist and recording artist currently embarking on my first solo record of original songs after touring for the past three years with my 'dark blues & rock n' roll twang' trio Boss Tweed.  I also sing the music of Patsy Cline in Carolyn Sills & The Poor Man's Roses, and love nothing more than singing for a room full of Patsy fans that know every word. In addition to performing with my solo project, which features bass, guitar, pedal steel, drums and sometimes vibes, I also perform as a duo with Gerard Egan, the best darn guitarist I have ever had the pleasure of playing with. We do original jazz and country songs we've written, plus classics from the 40s, 50s and 60s that should be heard more often. This duo features myself on upright bass/vocals and Gerard on guitar/vocals.

My photography can be found throughout the pages of this website as well and they are all available for sale through the photography page. Many of the shots were taken while on tour in Europe with Boss Tweed.

Please check out my calendar for a list of upcoming shows - it may be my solo stuff, Patsy Cline, Boss Tweed or an insane-o spaghetti western surf band where I wear a beard and sombrero, but either way I should be performing in some capacity in your neighborhood soon. If not, drop me an email and let me know where I should be playing.

I've been fortunate enough to play everywhere from Brooklyn to Berlin. I've sung under the big dipper on a cobble stone street in Mostar, Bosnia, played a biker rally in Split, Croatia, was electrocuted by a microphone in Correggio, Italy, and had my bass stolen in London and returned to me in Maribor, Slovenia.  I've been asked to sing 'Crazy' three times in one set for hundreds of rowdy elderly folk, have sat in with Les Paul at the Iridum Jazz Club and was told by one woman that listening to my Christmas single (George Bailey) over and over again helped her finish a 5K race. I am one lucky lady and I owe it all to music.
